overview
We were given about 2 weeks to complete our Hybrid Vehicle project. We had 3 build days to build the car itself, then we had to test the car, calculate the physics, then create a slideshow presentation. The car should've been safe to the environment and of use to the company Hyundai. We decided to have a car with a wood base and wood wheels. The wheels were held together by plastic so it wouldn't cause a ton of friction. Originally, we were going to have a spring car, but another way we incorporated rubber bands was to put them on the wheels. This helped our car stay straight and go far. The goal was to have it go 5 meters with 2 rolls of pennies (50 cents each).

concepts
Velocity (v) - the rate of covered distance - Velocity = change in distance/change in time : measured in meters per second.
Potential Energy (PE) - energy an object has due to its position at a height or in a gravitational field - PEg = mgh : measured in Joules
Kinetic Energy (KE) - energy due to motion - KE = 1/2mv^2 : measured in Joules
Thermal Energy (TE) - energy converted to heat - TE = Total Energy - PE - KE : measured in Joules
Friction - a force acting against the direction of motion caused by a molecular collision

Reflection
We had the same groups as the last project we did which was the trebuchet. I feel like my group may have made some mistakes that could've been avoided. Our time management wasn't good and we had some disputes over some pointless stuff. What went well is that they helped me with stuff I didn't know I could do. When building the car, I never knew I had the power to saw something thick by myself. What I could've done better was try to build more of the actual car and take more of a leadership role. I've always had trouble being a leader in a group. I did pretty good though helping my group mates figure out the calculations. Overall our project worked and I was proud of the outcome, even though it was a difficult road to get there.
